Seems ok to go now. Have been there off/on for around 2 weeks now, no cops to be seen. Has been kind of slow. Lower bathrooms have been closed up, I guess for renovations, no work going on though. Hard to catch the after work crowd since park closes at 5pm sharp now. A local news station has reported that HPD has been conducting undercover operations at this park over the past two weeks. 14 men have been arrested by HPD during this period according to the news station. Due to complaints by area residents, the park is being heavily watched. Stay away from the park until things cool down. HPD is very much aware that guys cruzin in their cars are there for other purposes. The HPD officer being interviewed said, "misdemeanors punishable by up to a year in prison and a two thousand dollar fine."

I went to the upper parking lot on 5/21/03. A few dudes of a mix age already there (19ish asian, 30ish black, 30ish haole pimp and his 20ish druggie friend, 50ish asian) I remained in my car to check it out and see how they work it, lots of walking in and out of the bathrooms, Kimo (park keeper) sneaked in twice and chased everyone out, and locked the bathroom, the haole pimp and his friend drove to the lower bathroom, and was working that one, the others remained there and tried to make eye contact. Over all for my short hour in the car, seen activity and them men there were not bad at all. (8am-10amish pretty good). I went back around 12 noon and activity was none. Lots of elders just drive to the parking lot and take up space.

Cops made two major busts with TV coverage out of these bathrooms. I was caught in a sting operation. I was alone pissing when an undercover cop cruised me. I was not even interested, but he cornered me and then I was arrested. Watch out for undercover!
