From Elgin, east on Rt. 58 (Golf Road) to rt. 59. Turn north on rt. 59(Sutton Road). It will be about half a mile on rt. 59, just before Shoe Factory Road, on the west side. Or, about 1/2 of a mile south of I-90, just past Shoe Factory Road, on the west side.
Cross street: Shoe Factory Road
  • Crowd:Various ages, but primarily older. Many married men. Typically caucasian with some hispanics.
  • Hours:Dawn until dusk.
    Best times: Around noon, after work and about one hour before closing.
    Dates open: All year but the back is closed during the winter.
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:Except for the winter, either walk one of the paths or watch from your car and then follow someone.
    Cruisiest Spots: Any of the path areas toward the back. During the winter, there is activity in the cars and vans.
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No
  • Warnings:This area is patrolled so use reasonable caution. Dog walkers also frequent these woods. Avoid on summer week-ends because there are always large groups there then.
