This beach is located 5 miles north of High Island, TX along State Highway 87 in Jefferson County (Approximately 80 miles from Houston). Make sure to go well past the "Road Closed" signs, onto the beach proper and down a mile or two. This part of the beach is in Jefferson County and NOT Galveston County.
