It's a government stop with maps and toilets. It opens May 15, closes around 8 pm. When the family traffic goes away, it gets busier, but a trucker flashed his lights at me in the middle of the afternoon with a bunch of families around. I just got in the truck, away from the crowd and nobody saw anything.
Crowd: Truckers, locals, travelers (Ottawa-Montreal).

Who's Coming

Hwy 417, westbound, marker 4, just inside Ontario leaving Quebec. Stuff happens any time, but mostly late afternoon to 1 a.m. or so, and mostly weeknights.
  • Crowd:Truckers, locals, travelers (Ottawa-Montreal).
  • Hours:Evening on weeknights
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:Truckers will let you know if they want. They know this spot and don't waste time. Most anyway. Some wait until there's no one around. Sometimes for hours. Be polite and patient.
    Cruisiest Spots: Away from the families.
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No
  • Warnings:Some locals are insistent, annoying and very uninteresting and always there yakking and gossiping. Some locals are great to talk with and very friendly.
    Warnings: Only seen cops once... they asked me if everything was okay.

  • just wondering even if the center it self is closed...are there still truckers around and how does it work? I just go park there and wait for a trucker to flash his lights??
