Update 11/14/2008: Went back and all the booths were locked up and the screens in the lobby were dark. Spoke to them and was told that they are still allowed to show movies in the theaters but that everything else was shut down until further notice

previous comment: Basement has two gay theatres. Main floor has many open televisions that show and about 40 private booths. 2nd floor has two straight theatres. 3rd floor has a gay and straight theatre.
Crowd: 90% Gay and bi men, married and single***br***Couples and single women have been seen.

Neighbourhood: Downtown Hamilton.

West on King St towards 403. Theatre is on right hand side between John and Hughson St. Note: All roads are one-way. Show-world has large Purple Neon sign out front.
Cross street: John St.

  • Couples and single women have been seen.
  • Hours:24 hrs.
    Best times: Lunchtime 11am - 1pm.
    Evenings (nights) 9pm - 1am
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:Action is quick for strokers.
    Sit in theatre and pull out , you'll get noticed.
    But be respectful, ask permission first.
    Group activity can be common if one guy gets the "balls" rolling.
    Cruisiest Spots: Basement level is all Gay theatres and individual booths. Most of the cruising goes on down here.
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No / No handicap access to other floors. Theatre used to have an elevator, but is now out of service.
  • Warnings:Being downtown you can get the occasional drunk guy or prostitute wander in.
    Warnings: There are back entrances behind some of the theatres screens were management enters to check theatres.
    Make sure you push through the turnstyle fully after depositing $4.00 otherwise the rotation will lock-out and you will lose your money.

  • Beware of cops! I was there when a couple of cops came in. Staff said they come by almost nightly. When you hear the someone entering the thearter, stop what you are doing immediately!

  • Anyone good who comes in is hit on by the staff!!! That srtinkin Indian who works there weekend evenings - the younger skinny one - locks up the office goes in the big btheatresc and sits in the seat next to him. If you try to get the guy he wants he will say you are a problem or there is complaint and you have to leave.
    Get rid of this filthy stinkin staff person.

    it was one of the street 'kid' [though he's older] regulars, filthy.
    waited in the thearter i was in until he thought i was asleep.
    he tried ti take mine out of my pocket but i woke up.

    if you see him and he wioll be back, do soime serious injury to him

  • Be careful guys..was there Tues Dec 2nd evening and had my wallet taken from back pocket...should have known better but who ever took it was experienced...had no clue it happened until it was too late.
