- Crowd:All types.
- Hours:Open till 1:30 AM
Best times: @ night after 9:00 pm.
- Cruising Info/ Tips:cruiser adds 10/14/2008: Some guys cruise in the arcades. Clerks generally cool, but they do get pissed if you let anyone in without paying the $5 minimum, and if someone is smoking in the arcade. Some guys wait in the parking lot and then take it elsewhere. This neighborhood has a long history of complaints from residents (Josephine street has been blocked off to reduce traffic into the residential area).
previous comment: If you stay outside just make I contact, and go somewher else, if you go inside, just go to an arcade and wait, guys will approach you.
Cruisiest Spots: Is better to inside to the arcade area, but you can also wait in the car as people keep driving by and in/out of the store.
- Wheelchair Accessible:No
- Warnings:cruiser adds 10/14/2008: e aware that Garden Grove police often patrol the surrounding residential areas looking for parked cars/ activity. Also be aware that there have been occasional onsite undercover sting operations. There is a great range of guys for all tastes here so keep it cool and enjoy the buffet. Also, there are a couple of cheap hotels within a block or two of this arcade.
previous comment: Careful with cops if you park at the parkings next door, they might question you for being there, but if you go inside, they rarely go in.

The Garden Grove police are at it again! Just as I was leaving this place tonight (at about 11:30 PM) 3 cops were looking in cars parked in the parking lot, and entering the 2 different arcades. I didn't stick around to see what happened, but I'm sure it wasn't good!

Just because some of you guys haven't seen any police activity here doesn't mean that it's not going on. The warning posted on 10/16 is legit. Be careful here. Always try and take it someplace else if you can.

Although I have only been going to this bookstore for almost a year, I have never seen any kind of police activity. Which is good because this is one of the best bookstores I have been too and I generally come out satisfied.

probably best to meet someone and take it elsewhere

POLICE WARNING Confirmed
This evening I visited and planned to watch videos for an hour or so and check the vibe. For 30 minutes or so, things seemed about as usual. I began to wonder if the earlier report I had received from a "regular" was correct. A few guys tried to cruise me and one dude with a big goatee kept leering over the wall at me, but I showed zero interest (wasn't hard - not my type). Later on three uniformed police officers entered, proceeded directly through the arcade to a booth and hauled two guys out in cuffs. This took all of 20 seconds. Upon reflection, I noticed a few "non regulars" in here tonight. And, there seemed to be a flurry of patrons coming in during a 10 minute stretch just before the bust occurred. Could be just a coincidence, or could be they are serving as the plain clothes scouts. It doesn't really matter - the main message is that this place is very much on the police agenda and you are advised to avoid it for a while.

POLICE WARNING - PLEASE BE CAREFUL
I stopped in late last night and a regular patron warned me that he had seen guys arrested in the arcade there earlier that evening. Since this locale has been fairly cool lately, many guys may be surprised. Undercover operation with "bait guy" who then leaves and cops enter. BUMMER! Do not proposition and do not fondle or touch yourself.
Also - for Editor, the "How to Get There" part of this listing is not correct (which has resulted in some incorrect postings about another ABS - Garden of Eden). The "how to get there" says this is near Harbor Blvd. Correct location for Midnight ABS is indeed at 8745 Garden Grove (at Josephine) between Newland and Magnolia.

place is ok. pretty elaborate card system they have for the videos. Vids are great but the time given for credit sux. Open booths with mirrors from each other. Restrooms. The video booths are adjacent to the actual store but in a room all in its own.

Hey guys,
A cruiser reported that this location has received a lot of police activity. He said they send in 2 or undercover cops to check out what is happening and then they will call on their cell phones for the Black & White and uniformed cops to come and arrest them. This way the undercover cop never reveals his identity to everyone else who is just sitting their observing what's happening.
He went on to say, "If you go be very careful, do not expose yourself and if asked to go someplace with someone, only go if they have somewhere that is private behind locked doors. The undercover cops will approach you in the actual bookstore part and talk and tell you they are interested in playing and that there car is behind the Korean bar next door and to join them there".
As always, cruise carefully. Let other guys know what you know by posting comments,
Ed,
cruise Editor
