cruiser update 2/25/2008: Club Ft Lauderdale most certainly DOES require a membership, in addition to the daily entry fee. The same membership can be used at most of the The Clubs chain locations, however, so guys from Orlando or Cleveland or the others don't need to purchase a separate one. Nudity is fine on the patio, but is frowned upon by most of the staff anywhere inside. The gym is large and well-equipped, unlike most of them.

Previous comment: This is a high quality facility, and one of Florida's biggest and best gay health clubs. They are across from the original location. Everything in the bath house is totally new, from the gym to the jacuzzi, sauna, heated outdoor pool and deck (clothing optional), and steam cavern. Private rooms and lockers available. Weekend poolside afternoon cookouts inbetween 2 and 4. Expanded free parking.

  • We went again yesterday afternoon (1:30 - 9:30) and the crowd was totally different! From the attendant at the desk, who was the friendliest guy we've ever encountered at a bath house, to members who were not hung up with attitude, the scene was TOTALLY unlike our Friday night experience! So for us - never again on a Friday night, but it looks like weekdays are very different and worthwhile.

  • "Stocky8uc" is right-on! My partner & I went Friday evening, June 27th and at first thought - wow, gorgeous facility and a lot of people here. Yes, the facility is nice. That's it. We didn't receive the advertized "free pass for another visit". The employees are nice, but distant. The people who go there are S&M (stand & model) to the absolute MAX. Worst we have EVER seen at a bath house! Some were the rudest people we have ever encountered at any gay establishment. Thankfully the membership can be used at other local non-Club establishments and at other Club Baths locations, or it would be a total waste of money for locals. So - if you are here during low season, be aware that the local gay crowd at this place is just awful for behavior, attitude, etc.
