Take 331 south thru Florala,at the 4 way stop intersection, with the flashing red light, go straight thru which will put you heading down 54 east. Go one mile down and there will be signs for Lakewood, Fla ( known as Florida's highest point)on the right. Take your right and you will be headed down county road 285, go approximately one mile and the park will be on your right.
Cross street: Walton County North 285

  • Hours:Usually from 4:00pm-7:00pm.Dates open: Park open from dawn to dusk.
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:Walk down the hiking trails into the woods.

  • will be around the area Tuesday afternoon(02/24/09)..if anyone is interested,let me know & I will be there for sure..if haven't heard from anyone then I will be going somewhere else

  • My first time there on Columbus Day. Saw a black guy at the lake and he left. I went to this location, for the first time, and he was there. We might have hooked up if I had been alone. I too, saw the new sign, but didn't see any obvious indications of surveillance. Looks like a fun place, though.

  • HEADS UP!!!!

    Drove by this place today (7/7/08) & saw a sign I hadn't notice before: "This park is under surveillance by Walton County Sheriff's Office, for any and all illegal activitiy, including improper solicitations"

    Don't remember seeing this here before, and looked to be a brand new sign post (no rust). So, if you go there, be fore-warned... "surveillance" could mean alot of different things: cameras, frequent patrols, sting ops, etc. Stay safe folks.
