Quinta do Lago

The gay beach is both referred to as Quinta do Lago or Faro Island, depending on how you get to it. The beach is a large stretch of sand running for several kilometers from Faro Island to Quarteira and further. The gay beach is only accessible by bridge on both the Faro Island and the Qunita do Lago sides. Cruising takes place along the top of the dunes behind the beach. The beach is gayer on the Quinta do Lago end. There is lots of nude swimming and sunbathing. Al fresco occurs in the dunes. UPDATE: When you come off the bridge, facing the sea, turn LEFT and there are much better prospects.
It's pretty safe to head into the dunes, though there are loads of spiky seeds in the sand so wear flip flops and mind your knees, or anything else that may make contact with the sand!!
