Is This Your Business?

A very secluded site really only accessable with a car/bike (or for the adventerous horseback!). Can be extremely busy and far more sheltered than Snaresbrook (Waltham Forest). Families, horseriders, cyclists stick to the main path away from the cruising area. I have been there many times and if you are willing to spend some time there, good action is a cert. Further along the small path into the forest is a fallen tree. You can sit here and still observe the car park to see who is arriving. Beyond this is an area of very high ferns in the summer amongst which nude sunbathing is popular.
Crowd: All types especially married/bi men. It's very busy lunchtimes during spring/summer with travelling sales reps, builders etc taking 'lunch breaks'.

Who's Coming

All types especially married/bi men. It's very busy lunchtimes during spring/summer with travelling sales reps, builders etc taking 'lunch breaks'.

On the Epping New Road. If approaching the roundabout from Epping take the first exit to Theydon Bois. If approaching from Woodford it's the third exit.

Drive down the road for about 2/3 minutes until you come to car parks on both sides of the road. Go into the left hand car park.

  • Hours:Afternoon till night time.
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:Lots of eye contact and guys follow each other into the bushes.
Cruisiest Spots: Lots of eye cruising from cars in the car park. Walk along the forest path on the left side of the car park and into the forest.
  • Nudity / Policy:Yes / As it is quite quiet and secluded nudity is very common in the summer off the beaten track.
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No
  • Warnings:I have not heard of any Police action here. Sometimes mounted Forest Rangers go through but they stick to the signed horse bridal path and don't go into the forest.
As it is a wildlife site I have seen a couple of snakes (not the trouser type!), adders in the ferns so be careful where you tread!
