There are trails which lead to the water on the left of the parking lot. Guys cruise from their cars and along the trails.
Police do patrol but usually in marked cars.
Drive north into Elmwood Park on Thatcher which becomes N. Cumberland Ave. Take the first left into Schiller Woods Forest Preserve parking lot. Cruising area is on the left as you enter.

I dont know if were all talking or thinking about the same spot. I know where schiller is and wouldnt go there since its too known. The other onw which i tried about two years ago was on thatcher just north of North ave in Elmwood pk. I think its called ryan field or something like that. It was good back then but i think cruising was too widespread and known that there cracking down on all the well known forest preserves. It is true that the technology they have now is very useful against cruisers, who wants to get caught with there pants down on camera...to be used in court? It was fun for me while it lasted but dont need to wind up in jail. Last fall before it got cold i went there , walked the trail for a while with no luck, then when i came out there was a woman sitting on a folding chair "reading a paper" but watching me then as i was getting back into my car a very cleancut short black guy (who was standing near her but not in a car also) looked at me then tugged his stuff and licked his lips at me .I gave him a dirty look since i wasnt stupid(guessing it was a sting they setup while i was in the woods) and got in my car and never came back. Anyone else have any similar instances or been caught?? please post your experiences for all to be aware about, please!

The park is on Irving pk. Rd just west of Cumberland. You can take any of the park entrances on the right side and go all the way to the back which has the turn around. There is a walking path at the circle. Went there for the first time. Met an older man who is a naturist. We started talking and he started giving me the signal by stroking his tool. one thing led to another and we were stroking each other. It was a great first time experience. There were people that look like they're looking for action but they sit in their cars. The idea is to go into the walking path and just wait until someone follows you. Start stroking your tool and let the fun begin.
