Located in Galt in the woody area. Great discreet places all over to play and have fun. No cops have ever been here I have seen.

Neighbourhood: Galt

From 99 get off Twin Cities/ Jackson exit, make left follow till light make another left, follow all the way down till Franklin Rd, make left, its about 2 miles down Franklin Rd. look for sign.
  • Hours:6-9am and then 3-7pm Mon-Fri Sat, Sundays are mostly families.
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:All trails are very cruisy pick one and you should be good, the less traveled trails are best.
  • Nudity / Policy:Some nudity if discreet.
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No / no
  • Warnings:Not everyone is cruisers. use judgment.

  • Drove past this site over the weekend. There's on location with a bathroom and parking lot that access some wetlands trails. It would be the "North site. The South site has a visitors center and is about 1/4 mile down the road. There is a parks person at the visitors center.

    I think the north site could be great as long as people are careful of birdwatchers/hikers etc.. and use some common sense. There wasn't anyone there mid day on Sunday at all.

  • I dont think it's called Franklin at the point where the preserve is. I think it's called Thornton. It's closer to I5 than 99. South of Twin Cities road. There's two parking lots with bathrooms or "visitors center". not sure what one would be cruisy just drove past it once. Looked like birdwatchers were there at dusk. Still. Could be a very good place as there is nothing around it for miles.

  • I tried to go there today. I couldn't find it even after backtracking to allow for coming on 99 from both directions. How far is the first left from 99? There is a light just off 99 that leads to a nursery going south on 99. I went back to Twin Cities and kept driving further down and didn't come to another light. The same on the other side of the freeway to I drove straight for quite a while and reached the river with no light or turns and no Franklin Road! I then came home and tried driving directions on the net. No Franklin in Galt. I will try again on line.

  • Great spot to play in! been here a few times its best during warm weather but can also get cruisy during colder weather also if you go around lunch time or in the morning.
