Wolf Creek Highway Rest Area
18 km east of Edson
Nice clean government rest area off Highway 16, 18 kms east of Edson, Alberta. Cruisy bathroom and private handicapped bathroom too. In the summer when the leaves are out; there is a path along the south fence that leads into the bushes for outdoor .
Neighbourhood: western central Alberta
Look for rest area signs along the highway. This rest stop in on the south side of Highway 16 on the crest of a hill before you drive down thru the creek valley itself.
- Hours:anytime; traffic is constant along this major route. Some local guys from Edson and surrounding area. Lots of long distance haul truckers. On occasion a young farm boy on his Yamaha dirt bike! (spring of 2009 anyway!)
- Cruising Info/ Tips:sit in your car; watch for guys heading into the bush or hang in the restroom lobby.
- Nudity / Policy:not likely; though u could do so in the handicapped washroom which is a separate room from the men's washroom. And also in the truckers' sleeper units.
- Wheelchair Accessible:No / yes...the rest area washrooms are; but not likely the bush trail
- Warnings:well out of town; no police presence very often.
