They now have debit there, the decor is finished.
2 video lounges, one even has a sling and walls with 50 gloryholes to suit all heights of men

The steam room is amazing! (Like a maze. Lots of little places to play.)

    Best times: Very new. Just opened. Best times etc, not yet established. Will probably be busiest on Friday and Saturday nights,and on long weekends
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:Steamworks has 1/2 price times daily from 4-7checkin. they also if you go friday or saturday nite give you a free pass to return the sunday or following sunday for free after 4pm.. Thursdays if oyu go after the 7 cut offf for 1/2 price you get a free pass to the following thursday nite.
    Cruisiest Spots: Steamroom or lounge
  • Nudity / Policy:Yes / As with all bathhouses. Guys walking around in only towels. Maybe some fully naked. public is encourageed
    Policy: As with most bathhouses, it is preferred if you take ual activity back to a room or a secluded spot.
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No / Stairs only. Not wheelchair accessible.
  • Warnings:cruiser update 9/8/2008: the place is now finished and has air conditioning and has debit

    cruiser adds: my pet peeve is not the AC in the summer it never gets hot in there, but now at this time of year it is f'n freezing in there. If you get a room try to get one in the middle as far away from the outside walls as possible----
    They still have some things to finish (no air conditioning yet, but it's coming. No debit/credit card machine yet, so it's cash only for now. Decor not quite finished.) But this is due to them just opening. All these things should be in place in the next little while.
    Warnings: The place is devided into two levels, starting on the third floor, so if you can't manage stairs, this isn't for you.

    You said "to think" before I post.. Well I've been doing some thinking.. Why would you be "insulted" about this in the first place? Do you own the place? Have a financial stake in it?

    Go back and read the posts - there is one thing that seems to be a constant - This place seems to have quite a few "dead" or "quiet" posts compared to the "busy" posts. Even as recently as the end of March people were still saying it was quiet.

    So what does that tell me? Things haven't changed all that much from when I went.

    With that aside, maybe one night if I can get back into the city I may visit your establishment and maybe I'll be proven wrong. We'll see.

    I did enjoy the layout of this establishment.. It just has so much potential, the place should be busier..but it seems its not.

    Honestly Beatrice look at it from my standpoint, would you keep going to this place time and time again if there was hardly anyone there?

    Finally.. if this underwear party was "so big" how come nobody other then yourself has mentioned it?

  • I've been to both "Happy Hotels". Steamworks is definately the better one. There is much more room and variety - the steam rooms are great! I got lucky with 14 people, even had to turn down 2 repeats as my legs where tired and I was drained.
    The rest is your standard bathouse - the too loud music and a few creepy old men. The only improvement would be a hot tub, but the stream room/maze makes up for it!

  • This place is vewry new, very modern, MUCH better facilities than Down Under. Problem is, it seems very under-used . I was there twice in mid afternoon and was the ONLY user. It was very odd. Still, I highly recommend it.
