If you remember this shop off Main St in Durham you will be pleased to know that it has relocated out of its rough neighborhood into the suburbs because the old location was taken over by eminent domain to make way for the new Housing and Human Services building. I visited in October 2008 and the owner is fixing up the place. It's $5 to enter "the cave," which is currently small but soon to be expanded space with 4 video booths, 2 empty booths, and a nice dark hallway for exploring. The owner is very friendly and doesn't hassle the customers. This is going to be a great bookstore when it's done being renovated. There is a theater/TV room but it was closed when I visited.

Neighbourhood: Oak Grove

From Durham, go east on 70 until you get to Holloway St, and go east until you get to Mineral Springs Rd. Turn left at the light onto Mineral Springs, proceed past the gas station and take a right turn into the back entrance of the shopping center. It's one of the first businesses on the right, suite 105.

From Raleigh, go west on 70 until you get to Sherron Rd, turn right, then take the first left onto Mineral Springs Rd. Drive until you get to the light, go through the light, and just after the BP station take a right into the back side of the shopping center.
  • Hours:Currently the best times are after 5pm. Hours are until 11pm, but if business picks up the owner will start staying up later.
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:The dark hallway is a nice place to explore.
  • Nudity / Policy:The owner is very tolerant and doesn't seem to intrude on his customers.
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No / It's on the first floor but doorways are a bit narrow.
  • Warnings:Currently there are no gloryholes... if the owner reads this, please put some in!

  • sorry they sold most of there stuff to excitement video on guess road rumor is the guy was sick anyway so he would not be re-opening it is to bad.

  • Went by this place at noon. Not only is it closed. But the entire location is bare - no signs, no merchandise, no machines.

    Does anyone know if they have relocated elsewhere? I know the post below mentions the county revoked the license they gave them as ABS after they initially approved it. That maybe illegal under NC law.

    Geez I hope they opened elsewhere. It was great place to meet and the owners were locals

  • The place may be closed for the time being. But not because the owner was lazy. He runs the store alone and has been ill. Atlantis previously was on Main St down town. The city needed his extensive property for development. Then it paid him below Market price for it but promised his new location was ok legally.

    Then after he moved in and invested in the new location they ttold him his adult business was against city and county ordinances - even though they approved his license. On top of that the agency that bought his property for then city then flipped it with a 30 percent markup before selling to the city. So this will end up in court.

  • I am going to go out on a limb and say this place is closed; looks like the owner was either too lazy to keep regular hours or the horrific smell that never went away did it in. What a shame as this could of been a great place for some seriously hot action.

  • was out of town yesterday - did anything happen last night (Saturday)??
    I really like this place but out of 5 visits in past month, it was only open once. Hope to hear that it is now open on a regular basis. A good place to met!

  • Well, I went again tonight and it was closed. That makes the fourth time in 10 days that I've been and it's been closed every time - whether at 2 p.m. or 7 p.m., it's closed. Would like for it to make it but I can't keep driving over there (the phone is inoperable) in order to find out if it's open.

  • Same experience. Nice booths 6" GH, good video stock, one fee and you can come back the same day - but the store will be closed unannounced.

    Still, when the stars are aligned there is one great place for riding cheeks and seeding holes. I've had very good luck here - even in the last two weeks

  • Not a glory hole in every booth, no. I really like this place but I'm always alone there. lol. What's worse, I went there tonight at 7:30 and it was closed. 7:30?
    the booths are clean, the movies are good quality, there are glory holes, there is privacy and it's only give bucks. But you gotta stay open. I'm not going to drive all the way over there without knowing it's open. This would be my favorite adult bookstore if it would be open most all the time and if I weren't alone there.

  • Went by after work at 5:00. Not too busy but had some action in the booths. Then one guy spead his cheeks over the GH and I was in heaven

  • Great place,clean lots of space and owner is a nice guy. Was there Fri eve - not much traffic but it was still worthwhile. More guys need to visit and make this spot what it is capable of being - a good place to hang out.

  • Went by mid Saturday afternoon and this place was cruise heaven.

    Four Booths now have 6" gloryholes and everyone was making good use of them
