A small car park just off A690 near belmont turn off. Park up and walk down the path into the wooded area. Path leads down to the river, but plenty of places to go with someone.

From A1 take A690 towards durham, take first slip road for Belmont and turn right. Once over the A690 you will see the car park on the right. It has a fence up to stop vans and lorries parking there, but you can get your car in ok.
