A68 - Collier Wood Picnic Area
A68 2 miles Northwest of Tow Law
A large open parking area with extensive woodland and shrubbery to the rear. It is really out in the country and can only be reached by car.A picnic site which is enclosed on all sides by trees so can't be viewed from the main road. There are numerous paths leading from the car park into the wood. There is a boarded up toilet block which is no longer in use.
Crowd: All sorts - business types, van drivers, workmen, lorry drivers - all ages seem to be there

On A68 2 miles west of Tow Law driving North. It is on the East side of the road. Coming south it is 8 miles South of Castleside.

- Hours:Afternoons and evenings. It never closes. Lunch times seem to be busy but anytime I've been during the day someone has been there.
Not sure about nighttime - there is a barrier on the entrance to the car park which may be closed at night but not having been that late I'm not sure. - Cruising Info/ Tips:During the day catch the eye of single guys or if any are strolling near the car make sure your hand is near your ! Otherwise get out and wander around. There are no toilets so no eyebrows are raised if one wander into the bushes. If you make contact take him away into the woods, there is loads of room!
Cruisiest Spots: It is a fairly large car parking area so virtually any where although guys mainly park in the area opposite the entrance but higher up the slope.The car park is L-shaped - most people park in the furthest corner from the entrance and wait near the start of the nature walk path or walk round the car park. - Nudity / Policy:I've seen none

- Warnings:It is used as a picnic area and stopping place by families and straights so a little discretion is needed.
