As with all Virgin Active gyms, it is a top notch facility with excellent facilities, including modern equipment, weights, swimmimg pool and squash courts, a health cafe and clean, well appointed changing facilities. Membership is essential but if you are visiting you can get temporary membership at a reasonable rate. (To make it worth your while, you would need to be staying for a minimun of 2 weeks). Alternatively, if you are visiting on a 'once only' basis, you can request a trial day which will usually be granted.

- Hours:The Gym is open from around 6.00am until 9.00pm on weekdays and closes at 8.00pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
Best times: Best times are either from around 10am to 11am ( steam & sauna rooms are cleaned from 11am to 12noon) and then from about 2.30pm until 4pm and again from 7.30pm till closing. - Cruising Info/ Tips:The gym is not a Gay gym and a certain amount of discretion has to be exercised in approaching blokes, although it is usually very apparent, by their behaviour, when they are 'up for it'. There are no overt '' areas but both the steam room (especially when there is plenty of steam!) and the sauna are both used by blokes looking for no-strings, hot . I have also had a few blokes approach me in the shower cubicles and had a couple of BJs when the gym is very quiet. TheThe full spectrum of guys will be found from twinks to bears and everything inbetween and, interestingly, I have experienced very little 'ageist' behaviour.
Cruisiest Spots: All of the action I've experienced has taken place in the sauna, steam room or showers (separate cubicles, but not that private). Saturday/Sunday afternoon/evening are also good times for hooking up. - Nudity / Policy:As mentioned above, this is not a Gay gym so nudity is found only in the changing rooms.
- Wheelchair Accessible:No / There is wheel-chair access at ground floor level but not to the majority of the equipment on the first floor. Swimming pool, cafe and changing rooms are all located on the ground floor level.
- Warnings:Excercise discretion in terms of approaching blokes for . I, personally, have experienced no problems during my experiences there.
