Wow. some of you sound so ignorant. Lets first start off with scabies. According to medicinenet you get scabies (or crabs), by close contact. It is very HARD to get it from hand shaking, hanging your clothes next to someone that has it, and even if your using the bed of somone that has it, the following day. Scabies can only live off the host of a body for 24-36 hours. In other words, you got what you got because you were messing with someone who has it. To go further, its a bathhouse, typically in bathhouses the same guy has relations with many many many guys. So typically if one has it somene else will have it. You cant blame the club. If you have a problem with the club go see the owner. Stop posting ignorant stuff. The club cant give people health exams as they come in. If you dont protect yourself, then thats your problem. However, for those who are claiming such nonsense, please check out medicinenet so you can get a better understanding of scabies. I like the club. yeah it needs work. But damn, where else can you go for 5 dollars on tues. Where else can you go on a friday nite with no membership. Where else can you go and just chill. If you have a problem with the movies playing, Just ask the attendent to change it. I have. its not difficult.

PLACE IS DANGEROUS GOT A CASE OF SCABIES HERE A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO

Let's face it, Brad got sold a bill of goods by "Doc", the original owner. The building is around 50-60 years old, and probably never had any major overhauls. It was already falling apart when Brad bought the place, and has greatly gone downhill since. Brad owns several adult bookstores around Michigan. I think he thought that a bathhouse would be as easy to run as as one of his bookstores. "Build it and they will come" But a successful bathhouse is more labor and capital intensive, and requires more contact with the customers, to determine what they would like to have at the bathhouse. Brad saw the writing on the wall, and bailed and sold Betty the bill of goods.

I don't see Betty doing anything major with the place. She may now own the place, but she's really not a manager. She's content to take your money, take the deposit to the bank, and wash the towels and sheets. She doesn't seem to have a vision for the Triple Bonus, since buying it, and apparently no cash or financing to fix the problems. It's been a so-so try for the last year and a half. I will be surprised if the place is still around this time, next year.

I can tell you what I know for sure as a business man. It does take an investment to open a place initially, but more than that it needs OPERATING capital (cash). The guys who go to TBHC (and I have been among those) probably go in the first place because it is cheap, no membership or day pass, good room and locker rates, etc.

But if the place does not sustain a substantial clientele, it won't make money and it wont continue operation for long. Detroit has THREE bath houses, all of them in a relatively small geographic circle, and all of them somewhat inconvenient to get to for people living outside of the D. Within the city, there is little real affluence, so these places are playing to a captive audience with limited resources. NONE of them are all that much to write home about.

BZ is probably the best option for serious players, but you have to admit there is a LOT to be desired at BZ. The lounge areas are puny, the spa has long been shut down, the showers get too hot and cant be controlled, there is no way to get lunch except by leaving the building then paying to come back in (vending machiness are minimal, no microwave). The list can go on, but to BZ's credit, the eoom choices are good, the price wont kill you, and I always manage to find at least one good hook-up whenever I go.

At any rate, I would not mind to see some consolidation. I dont believe Detroit can support three bathhouses, and if at least one would close, there would be a lot more choices at the surviving place

No cash invested? What about the flat screens, weight room equipment, paint, cleaned up and opened space on the first floor that doubled the area, opened the upstairs? Yeah, the plywood was a little cheesy, but WTF are they supposed to do there? People were asking for the maze to be opened, and nobody was sure what configuration would work.

As for the "odd fixtures" - the smoking TV room and the gang shower used to be bathrooms when the place was a restaurant. It isn't like they added them after the fact.

The poker cases bother you? Brad tried to give people something to do between orgies. Even BZ has a pool table, so honestly, why should that be an issue? How does it demonstrate they didn't try and make the place nice?

This pace is a hit or miss. Had a great time here in the past. Is any body heading up there today?. like to meet up with some one today around 6:00 pm or so. let me know.....when you can not host then this place is the next best thing.

I remember about a year ago when I posted that this place had a year - year and a half left, that everything in the place was inadequate and some of the fixtures were just bizarre. I was told that they're opening a "juice bar" and that they were going to bring in "masseuses", and that this place was going to be just as good as the baths in Toronto and Chicago. I guess being right about everything is just a burden I have to bear.

yea this place really sucks now, i think the one steam room hasnt worked since january and now i hear the other ones out. the maze is closed. and everytime its raining outside it leaks everywhere inside the club. everytime i go back theres always something else wrong with the place. when the upstairs caught on fire they should of just let it all burn to start over.damn shame

Unipeg, they are not open 24 hours on the weekends anymore. So wasted trip for you. yes this place has really gone down hill since Betty is in charge full time. She needs to seek out the advice of her good clients on what will make this place a new sucess. Its a damn shame its going down hill so fast. I drove to TBHC tonight at 1am and the place was deserted. Not a single car in the lot. I ended up going to BZ (sadly I had just brought enough dough for TBHC... I'm spoiled by the price). It would be nice to get an update on cruise by the current owner with a price correction and the current hours of operation.

Stopped in today. Very small crowd for a Friday AM. There was a lot of damage inside of the Triple bonus. Steam rooms are out of order, some of the video screens are hard to see. The room they gave me had extensive damage to the door, the replacement room was very dirty.

There was no soap in the showers and the maze is closed. I hope this is not the begining of the end for Triple Bonus. There were a lot of good ideas here.

I always thought a BI NIGHT (w/ women) at a bathouse might be a fun idea...since many patrons are bi anyway. Can't hurt to ask and I'd be curious to see the outcome. If not TBHC maybe TNT.

Went for CD Friday morning and only saw two cars in the lot. It was 9:30, but I assume morning means morning. Assuming that at least one of the cars was an employee, I didn't stick around. Did I miss something here? So, I went to my comfort zone and played at TNT for a while.

IM going to have to agree on the general consensus that this place is really going down hill. I like it best tht it is, but needs some major upgrades. Too well lit, for one thing. Baths are supposed to be darker and more mysterious. The maze up stairs is falling apart an there is too much light up there. needs a night light. not a full blown lamp. Where the mystique? Anyways, steam rooms are always broke and the other areas are just plain old dingy. Needs some new paint, newer vids and some better TV s to play them on. Its still a good cheap place to play on Tuesdays for 5 bucks. I will let you decide when you go there and see what we all do.
