Love Shack

hey, i was just in Branford today and saw that there's a Love Shack there off of I-95, anybody have any info on this place? are there any booths inside? is it cruisy?

Are there any updates on this place yet? Did the booths go in? This would be a nice convenient place to go!!!

Did he give a time frame on putting in the booths? This WOULD be a convenient location to hook up. Does he forsee any problem with the police?

from what he said, they will wait till the trials are over and then maybe six months before they think about installing booths. IOW, let the dust settle and quietly move forward. Didn't mention the police, but who knows how that will work out. Sometimes they intentionally avoid these places so the activities don't spill out into other areas. Time will tell. The guy inside sounded confident that they'll be settled soon. We'll see.

Stopped in at the Loooove Shack today to see what was going on, and I spoke with the proprieter for awhile. They've been to court and the droves who showed to rid their happy homes of this festering gob of goo totalled 5 residents all over the age of 60. Their homes are on the outskirts of the commercial section (which the town told Love Shack they were in). It looks like the LS may win in court, but it won't be easy. They say they're prepared to take it to the supreme court if necessary because the town gave them permission to open. When they invested in the business the town then turned around and tried to pass a law to shut them down. The booth issue is up in the air. They have four Love Shacks around the state and Norwalk is the only one with booths. They know booths = money and would like to do them in Derby. This will depend on the court outcome and how quickly the dust settles. They have a very nice selection of videos and some real good deals if you look around. The clothing section is good and the toy section seems pretty well stocked. Right now I'm sure they could use the business if you want to check them out. It'd be nice if they survived the court case and put in those booths. Very friendly and comfortable place. Easy access and if they had booths, I think that lot would be full up with working stiffs jumping off Rt 8.

i was driving by tonight on my way home so i figured i'd stop in and see what this place is like...it's kinda empty inside, lots of empty space, but they have a nice large selection of videos. the description says that they were supposed to have 15-20 booths by end of summer but i didn't see any booths anywhere inside. maybe they are still workin on that.

According to Keyhoaty this could turn out to be a pretty cool spot to peruse. Provided the local folks who were fighting the headshop don't get wind of it before it takes off. Thanks guys.

I was there awhile back but haven't had the chance to stop in again. inside was pretty big and plenty of videos to rent and such. When I talked with the manager, he said that they were putting in an s&m room area and also new video booth area sometime this fall. Would be nice to have a local bookstore with a backroom!

i just happened to notice this place the other day when i was driving by, has anybody been there yet to say how it is? are the booths set up yet?
