This is a small man-made lake, about 150 feet from the southbound lanes of I-29. Sheilded from trhe highway by a dense growth of cottonwoods. The lake is on private property and trhe owner seems to tolarate it use by nude sunbathers as long as they are discreet and do not litter the area. Police have occasionally issued citations on cars parked along the road in such a way as to impede traffic.

From Council Bluffs, head south on I-29 for about 14 miles. Take exit 35, which is for Glenwood via US-34. Do not get on US-34 but turn right at the bottom of the exit ramp then immediately left (south) onto a gravel road. Proceed about 1.5 miles and turn left at the stop sign. After a half mile you will see large ponds on either side of the road, you want the one on the right(south) side, park well off road and walk around to the south west corner where most nude sunbathing occurs.

  • I tried to find this area, anyone have any updated info on this place? The stop sign is no longer there and hardly any trees. Would love to go there and get nude!
