This is a public park. I have been here several times and have yet to see any families, or real hikers. Just a few teens and guys looking for some fun.
Neighbourhood: Wattles
This place is between Battle Creek and Marshall, closer to B.C. It's not too far off of business 94. The nearest big intersection is 9.5 mile road (Wattles) and Business 94 (Michigan Ave). You'll see McDonalds, KFC and a car wash basically across the street from where you pick up Arlington Avenue on the north side of 94. Take Arlington north about three blocks and you'll run right into the entrance of this park.

- Hours:Park is open 8-8 technically. I have never seen any type of enforcement at this place. there.
- Cruising Info/ Tips:Be careful of bugs and getting lost. I have been in the woods with a guy for a hot time and then when we finished, he took off and I just enjoyed the moment. When I was ready to head back to the car I realized that I didn't go back the right way in the woods and was lost for a bit. I eventually found a trail and walked back to the entrance. This park is surrounded by residential areas so you will never walk for days or anything, but there are tons of trees and that can be confusing if you are off the beaten path for a good time.
I have never seen any type of security, not even a rent-a-cop. So it's free of that type of thing.
Every once in a while there will be someone there that is actually looking for birds so just use common sense. Bird watchers are fairly calm people and I doubt they would report anything, but common sense is always needed in any public place. I've never had any problems.
One of the better areas to cruise is called Brigham Lake. That lake is small, a pond really, but it is the furthest into the park. The other lake, Hall Lake, is bigger and is fun to swim in. I once watched a young guy skinny dip there. I don't think he was gay, just probably had wandered into the park from home and thought he might go for a swim. I was lucky enough to see his bare butt and other stuff. Way too young for me, probably 18, but then again, I really don't think he was gay. When I came around the trail and he saw that I could see him he sort of freaked out and was embarassed, or was it bare assed? I left him alone and when I peaked back he had continued to swim. Shining butt reflecting the sun at times.
- Nudity / Policy:Some nudity is allowed but just use caution. I think when the public does use this place it's for bird watching, or at least that's all I've ever seen. I don't know that people actually hike here. You can lay out in the nude, but you will want to bring something more than a towel, bring a blanket and bring some bug spray too!
I usually find some brush to hide myself in. Guys that are looking seem to know how to hover in a safe distance until you give a signal that you want some fun and that you aren't just some guy trying to tan. Some of the local teens that might walk by will usually just ignore you or maybe laugh a bit. I sometimes wonder if the younger boys know about this place because most of the time the teens are guys and no girls. The only girls I've seen here were sitting by the lake drinking beer.
- Wheelchair Accessible:No / It's outside so it's good for all types of handicaps.
- Warnings:I've never seen police or security here. I've never seen anyone that seemed like they wouldn't approve of any sort of cruising. There was only one time that I saw a bird watcher and even he was quesionable as to his real motivation for being there. Looking for a -or-two?
