This place (out back) is amazing sometimes in the summer, very late night, like 2-3am, especially on Thur/Fri/Sat nights,

Mostly really old guys here, but there is a late-30s nice looking guy with black goatee who is REALLY good at servicing you. I think he is usually there early, like happy hour.

Yes they are open!!! It is a real discreet looking bar really dark no lit sign!! There is free parking on da side of da building but u have to enter for parking through the alley behind the bar!!!!

chgooldtown- I understand that you shouldn't be shy to others here since it is a public place, but you shouldn't go ontop of guys or touch them while they are messing around with someone else. That's my issue with guys. Just respect other people's space.

I am planning to go next Monday night very late. Would love to have my holes used by all you hot hung top daddies.

They still open at noon everyday. At least that is what the Sunday afternoon bartender and a couple patrons said yesterday when I asked. I stopped in around 5:30pm yesterday to check. I would have been in on a weekday afternoon this last week if not for the info here. So I'll try it out this week and confirm weekday openings.
Unfortunately it wasn't very busy and only a couple guys hanging out in the barn

The hours have changed 4pm to 4am weekdays and they close a 5am on sat and sun mornings!

It is ALWAYS a hot spot in the barn. The summer and spring are the best when it is warm. I guess when it gets cold out guys get really picky here.

Blowboy yes the barn is open in the winter (year round). It could be really cold out sometimes but we can heat things up in there. In the back part of the bar there is a huge fence that you can mess around behind in front of the fireplace for those who want to stay warm in the winter. But there is no backroom though that is the barn is used for. LOTS and LOTS of fun there!!!! ;-)

What is this place like during the winter?? Is the "barn" still open? Is there a backroom in the bar itself? Appreciate any information you can give me on this place. Thanks!!

Hey guys I went there this past Saturday, It was kinda cool, but totally lame at the same time, there was no action in the bar, and guys were definitely cruisy but noone was willing to make a move, I was there kinda early, Scott was the bartender, I asked him if there was any fun in the back and he said that I was kinda early, he said to wait after 12. So let us know what time is best if u happen to have a good time.

I go to Manhandler every time I come to Chicago I guess I have a better time than IBM 10 because I go there to have fun not to make judgement on who is worth while and who is not. I have a tendancy to like everyone I meet and find value in everyone I talk to. I have never had a bad time anywhere I have gone as we all have the ability to choose who we surround ourselves with and who we choose not too surround ourselves with. I would suggest that anyone that discribes themselves a cute (as you have in your profile) is probably a bit too commited to their own unjustified arrrogance to really find value in others regardless of age or stature. I will be back in Chicago this Sunday for three days and intend to go to the manhandler and have a great time.

ibm10 - your profile indicates that you're interested in professionals and older gents. either you're consistently going to manhandler on the wrong nights or you're one of the snobby twinks that many refer to here (that would be better off at Roscoe's standing alone waiting for someone).

there are so many attractive men to choose from here - and like any cruising place, there will be much older guys. i suggest that anyone who might be interested should check it out. to write, "he is always ugly" says so much about you. but to add, "don't waste your time" is shameful. like vergudote (who's very HOT), i'll continue to enjoy the cute men at manhandler. maybe it's better that you not go there again, ever.

Just moved to the area and was wondering how this place works. Is it a bar or a bathhouse? Also when are the best times to go and is it ok to go and just watch?

Ibm 10. This is a posting area where you can express your opinion and it should be respected.. . But as far as making recommendations of how our time should be used or wasted is a stretch. I have never had a problem with this place (or any other for that matter) since choose where I can waste my time, money and sperm, regardless of other's preconceptions.
Maybe I am one of those grandfather types you descriibe too and that is why i don't mind...But hey, keep posting!!!

WHoever said there is a diverse crowd here lies! It is all men my grandfathers age or really obese guys. If there is a younger guy (usually theres only one or two), he is always ugly. I went three times and found this every time. I tried going at night... there are just a lot of old men who hope you cant make out their face in the dark. In the day... theres only a few old men. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME.

I'm sure people on here are going to bash me for saying this but they are likely the old men who attend!
