Broken Head Nature Reserve
This is one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, and never gets too crowded. The surf is reasonably safe for strong swimmers, and there are some gorgeous men go there. There is lots of action in the bushes, but a lot of people are just there to be naked in the sunshine.
Crowd: A mixed crowd, from young surfie types to older sun lovers. Mainly men, but occasionally women.

Broken Head Nature Reserve is 4 km south of Byron Bay. From Byron Bay, drive south along the coast road to the Broken Head Beach turn-off. You'll find entrances to the reserve from Broken Head Caravan Park and from the scenic Seven Mile Beach Road, a good quality gravel road that heads south from Broken Head Village and follows the western border of the reserve.
Road quality: unpaved sections.
From the Broken Head Caravan Park entrance, follow the road for a couple of kilometers to the first car park. Then walk down the track to the beach, it is about 500m.

Much busier on summer weekends, but if the sun is shining there will be people there all year round.
