It is a really nice park with an off leash rec area for dogs. Go in the back part of that area and you will get lucky, I have four times now in the last month.
Crowd: Guys in their 20s and 30s.

Take 42 east to Portland then a left, go about three blocks its on the right hand side.

  • Cruising Info/ Tips:Be patient alot of the guys here seem new to this and a litle shy.
    Cruisiest Spots: In the back of the woods a little way off the trails and more in the southeast corner.
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No
  • Warnings:Cops go through the parking lot but never seem to get out of the car.
    Warnings: As with anywhere be careful and dont be stupid.

  • Hey men,

    The StarTribune published an article on June 12, 2007 called �Policing the Shadows�.

    The article, written by Sarah Lemagie, seems to have been inspired by six arrests made on May 29th at two public parking lots on the stretch of Black Dog Road that runs through the Minnesota Valley national Wildlife Refuge. A number of different cruising spots were mentioned.

    It seems the public and the police have their eyes peeled for cruising, so cruise with caution in these parts. Take care of yourselves and each other, and keep cruisein�!

  • Hey guys,

    Due to a recent report on in Pioneer Press about a sting operation at Black Dog Park, there may be a heightened police presence at cruising locations in the Burnsville area.

    Please keep this in mind as it may bring unwanted attention from local citizens and further sting operations by the police. Take care of yourselves and each other while you�re out there.
