Cross street: Interstate 35W and Blackdog Road.

  • Hours:Park hours are 6:00 am - Dark.
    Best times: After work crowd.
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:The area is used by straights too, fishing, bird watching etc. so be smart.
    Cruisiest Spots: The 1st driveway at the little bridge and the bird observation spot. Follow the trails.
  • Nudity / Policy:No public nudity.
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No
  • Warnings:Insects, during the evening. Guys who don't know the meaning of no thank you.
    Warnings: The uniform cops patrol occasionally and on very rare occasions they get out of the car to walk around.

  • I'm curious in checking this out as the park near the shriner's hospital is dull. Is this place active? Are there stings going on still? What are the best time?

  • no, hardly ever is this place active. i would avoid it. i saw someone get busted by two undercover officers last week around 5pm on tuesday. i drive thru here a lot when i am going home from work. i used to cruise this place, but wouldn't risk it now.

  • cops everywhere today, and from what I was told last week as well. We should try somewhere else in the South Metro. Rosmeount anymone?

  • I saw several people get arrested yesterday. There were two undercover cops that cruised the place. the problem is is that one stupid cruiser that i have never seen before walked inbetween myself and the cop and whipped it out. I freaked and the cop arrested him. I gave no indication that i was even looking. How stupid of a move was this for the guy? Use some common sense people. The two cops came up to me and made sure I was ok. They then proceeded from where we were to the overlook at Black Dog and arrested several more people that were down the path. They walked them all out in handcuffs. I had moved from the spillway area to the overlook because there were still guys showing up trying to cruise me even after the guy was escorted to the car in handcuffs. How lame is that?

  • I have been down here a couple of times. Met some cool people. The problem I seem to be having is everyone thinks I'm a cop. I think this place is fine during day light hours and if you're careful like you would need to anywhere. Just my opinion. I met someone yesterday/honda suv/called himself Mike. If by chance you are a member of this site I'll be down there again tonight. Hope to see you there.
