In the park below the dam, where do most cruisers park--in the loop or in the small park on the left that you come to first next to the hiking trails? On the few occasions I have been there all I ever see are families and fishermen. When is the best time to go to that park?

When there a while ago. Some activity - seemed pretty safe. Across the street in the park below the dam, there seemed to be more activity, especially along the sides of the river.

Seems like a mature bunch hanging out there more than anything. Rangers checking restrooms today;
Any reason to go there?

Had my first experience here this summer 2002. saw a cop, but he didn't bother anyone. was a rainy day, and still had 3 cruisers come into the bathroom within 10 minutes.
