  • Cruising Info/ Tips:Becareful: This is a family friendly place. There will be naturalists, hikers and the like. Use common sense on cruising, be safe and have fun. Usuallt someone alone, walking a maint trail by a narrow more dense trail head eyeing you and discretly touching themselves is an inviting sign.
Cruisiest Spots: The park itself is 2,675 acres (the largest in NYC). The section described here is 115 acres and has a myriad of trails both marked and unmarked. Some trails lead to a remote beach area.

  • TRAILS: From the parking lot, facing the beach, walk to the left and pick up a trail head leading into the woods. During the summer there is plenty of foiliage to conceal intimate activitites. Some trails are open and wide. These are where people will cruise. Then find an unmarked narrow trail. Most of these trails open up around bends to larger areas suitable for getting naked and having fun.

  • REMOTE BEACH: Go to the boardwalk, facing water walk all the way to the left and pick up the "twin trails" trail. follow to remote outcropping and continue through/over wetland area to small secluded island area. During the summer, this area is an unofficial nude sunbathing area. Nudity is a violation of the law so use descretion and judgement. See tips for warnings.

  • With 115 acres, there are many "unused" areas. I found an unmarked trail, walked it to an open area, stripped and layed out to tan. Someone else found the area and we "enjoyed" each other'c company uninterupted for two hours.
  • Nudity / Policy:As above. There are remote areas and trails that lend itself to getting naked and laying out. However, public nudity is against the law. Use descretion and common sense, and remember that this is a family friendly place.
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No
  • Warnings:The warnings are posted throughout this message. I haven't seen or know of anyone who has seen a Park Ranger or P.O., but that doesn't mean that they don't exist. Be discrete, be safe and have fun.

  • Go out to boardwalk and make a left, follow to end and make a left down the paths and you'll be basically on the first of the two islands. Follow further and you'll see the second. Maybe Monday if you want someone under 40.
