The canyon can get quite busy during the summer. Take a towel, and water, and go for the afternoon. Catch a few rays and then wander downstream to find the action out of sight. I've had lots of hot in this place. There always seems to be a willing around.
Crowd: A wide variety of hikers, and sunbathers. You have to be in preety good shape to get down there.

Went there today. Only one other nude sunbather. I assume the play area is downstream from the rock climbers. Can any one give better directions once your at the river?
I found the big flat rock. Perfect place to catch some rays.

head west up boulder canyon toward Nederland, at sugarloaf road take a right, go approx 2.1 miles to lost angel rd and go left, this is a dirt road, go approx one mile and the road will fork, keep left, almost immediately is another fork keep right, you'll follow long a hillside heading down for about a quarter mile to the parking lot (holds about eight cars). Follow the trail in, getting down to the stream is a bit harder, and trails are not well marked. Cruising seems to happen at both the top and along strem. A lot of rock climbers so descretion is likely advised
