cruiser adds: The area of the Fens that has the most activity is the part where Boylston street bends west towards the Turnpike. The southernmost part is where the two gas stations are(Ramrod bar). The northernmost part is where the Boylston st traffic can go across the Turnpike to Commonwealth Ave and Storrow Drive. South of the Muddy River along the bank lined with reeds is the trail. The old orgy tree is now illuminated which pushes the activity to the darker area to the east. But there is a weeping willow tree close to the river and the stone bridge and three road that is stocked with packets clothes-pinned to the branches containing and lube by AIDS prevention groups. Parking is tight and is available on Boylston st from the gas stations to Yawkey Way, Van Ness St and Ipswich St.

  • maybe its because schools out, but seemed like there were NO young guys. im 21 and i think the 2nd youngest person there was mid 30s. got a decent bj though.

  • I went last night (Fri). It was very busy, lots of guys.This place is too bright when all the lights are on at the ballpark. Later, it got dark enough, and guys were everywhere. cops rolled through, guys were scurrying like roaches. Five minutes after cops lef, place was hopping again. Definitely more quantity than quality tho.

  • i was there. it was "busy" i guess for my first time. saw a "curious " guy but he ended up leaving the park then i didnt see too much i wanted. but was totally interesting to see all that going on. HAPPY HUNTING

  • It will be a warm night and a Red Sox Game with the yankees means there will be a lot of guys out. Be careful, buds. Also, parking will be a nightmare until very late. I may check it out myself...

  • i'm guessing it pics up when the snow disappears,and you can cruise in shorts and one shirt. dealing with puffy winter coats and long undies somehow isn't the same.i'd definitely love to run into boston059 there!

  • Yeah, the action gets hot after 2 am when the clubs closed up... but the horrible wet summer we had this year has kept the area so muddy that people should had worn boots to come here.. I saw this young guy 2 weeks ago who was cruising on flip-flops and his feet were buried in mud up to his ankles practically.. sometimes you get college groupies usually with 2-3 girls in it walking around or near the trails too.. women tend to be very nosy so they want to see what is going on...

  • I actually saw a straight couple walking through there, but it definitely seemed like they were in there to see what was going on. Never saw if they participated or not.

  • There is cruising all day and all night in this park, but the real action doesn't start up until after midnight, and it has to be a warm night with no rain. There aren't many of those left for this year.

    Not many straights wander through here after dark - all it takes is one high profile mugging every 10 years to keep the college students out of the park. It's been a long time since anyone got beat up or mugged in there. During the day it's obviously more discreet because people are tending their gardens, but there is still action on the paths that are not muddy.

  • One college guy may be around once in every eight to ten visits. the rest of the guys are mostly average joes you don't look twice at in public,and more asian guys than you'd see on the subway.

  • Went to Fens last night (8/16) around midnight, the moonlight was nice but the guys cruising were not very desirable.. lots of guys that look homeless or not healthy, lots of old trolls. When do the hunks and cuties I heard so much about come by here? also the terrain was just too muddy and with lots of wet holes..
