If you're taking the I 17 north from Phoenix it will be the first rest area you see. All traffic uses the same side. It's just north of Black Canyon city.

  • Warnings:Can get very busy so a lot to look at, but be careful and don't be seen looking.

  • I was there last night, very nice facilities. Block walls between the stalls though. So not too sure about a glory hole, and the doors are pretty small. Can easily see if anyone is in them. Looks like the old building with the glory hole is still standing, there is a sign reading "South restrooms closed" so not sure what they are going to do to them. No action either, but it could be too new???

  • The rest area has re-opened. They did an opening ceremony. Went by this weekend on my way back to Phx. Pulled in but lot was so busy there was no where to park so I continued on my way. Maybe once the "newness" wears off it will go back to being a place to cruise

  • Is Badger Springs as good as Sunset point? Is there a GH or is it all out door action and trails?

  • P.S. to previous comment. I have tried several times to get Badger Springs Posted but for some reason cruise doesnt want to so maybe someone else will have some luck.

  • I drove by several weeks ago and it was barracked and spoke to a trucker up at Badger Springs and he said it wll be closed for a year with a multimillion dollar upgrade. Also saw some posted signs at several sporting shops so it is for real.. Badger Springs is still a close by option if anyone is interested.
