update 3/11/2009: Their are no piers or comfort stations. All were destroyed by Katrina. Just wide open parking lot next to the bussiest hughway on the coast
This is a big, historic, tourist destination. They have a comfort station with restrooms and covered sitting deck surrounding bulding. Also, a long fishing pier that extends out over the gulf that has seats located along it and at the end is a large covered pavillion with seating, too. At nighttime, the seating areas will usually be occupied with guys needing/wanting service. It's usually an easy pick-up here. Lots of times guys will stand around the comfort station and rub their letting you know what's up. Local 'beach-bums' hang there and the offer of a 'cold beer' will usually reap rewards. Lots of military guys from the local Air Force base visit here. Be cool and use discretion when cruising and you can have what you want, every time!
Crowd: Locals, transients, travelers.

I was in and out about 10 times over a period of 3 hours one Sunday night. Maybe it was a bad night but I didn't find it very good. Only 2 short, fat, old guys the whole night. Could be pretty good but not that night.
