Dogfish Beach

Drive south for about 7 miles on Chuckanut Drive from the Fairhaven District of Bellingham. Look for the entering Skagit County sign about 5 miles from Fairhaven. Go 1.7 miles further and park in the heritage marker pull off and hike straight down to the beach, or go 2.0 miles past the Skagit County sign and you will find another pull off parking area with access to an easier hike. Hike down to the railroad tracks, go north and walk for about 10 minutes to the nude beach.

• Crowd:Some retired straight regulars and a mixed crowd of local gays, college students and tourists.

  Cruisiest Spots: There are two beaches: the first one is straight, the adjacent one to the north is mixed and gay.
