Update 8/26/2008: a number of changes since the last time I was there in the spring.They've split this place into 3 different places. They have a gay theatre that beyond the desk off to the left, a straight theater (where's it's always been off to the right) and a spa. the theater and the spa are separate. The staff are very friendly. Overall clean place.Gotta say this place was challenging to get to because of massive construction in the front.

Update 4/14/2008: they now have a gay video area with couches and it is private and comfortable. 6 bucks to get in.

They've done a lot of work on the inside. Now they have a showbar with dancers (female), and a larger theater that you have to be buzzed into. There are just a few (7 or 8) booths. People there are nice, so show respect. There is a guy who checks the theater every once and a while. There is a camera in the booth area, so watch it. If you are careful and descreet, no probs.
Crowd: Seems mainly straight men and some women, but there is a gay crowd. Only went twice, so it is difficult to determine when you might get the best action.

  • Warnings:Only complaint is that there were a lot of straight 'patrons' visiting with the staff (some very cute guys!), so it was a bit uncomfortable to ask questions.
    Warnings: Because I was visiting from out of state, I have no idea if it is okay to expose yourself in the theaters. But everyone was doing it, and the staff even came in once and did not tell guys to zip up.

  • Horrible decision to change around the gay theater. They now have a projector in the gay theater. It's way too bright.

    In addition to being too bright, they have the movie showing on the wrong wall. They have it showing on a "width" wall instead of a "length" wall. It makes the small little room even smaller the way it is set up now. They now have a chair under the screen? lol

    If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Just a dumb decision by ownership/management in my opinion. They take one step forward and then two steps backward.

  • I have been there and returned many times. It is comfortable, private and accommodating. There is a good flow of customers in and out, including couples. Great for voyeuristic pursuits, active or passive participation, and the movies change often. Try it, hope to see you there.

  • Now you've got me second guessing myself. When I was last at the Spa I did NOT notice any suanas, steamrooms nor hot tubs. Just VERY pleasant girls selling massages.

    And, although, the bookstore/video arcade/theater does connect to the Spa they do appear to be very separate and unique businesses.

    You can get to the bookstore by going through the Spa (front door) or by going through the side door (where the side street parking is).

  • Anybody going to be in the gay theater on the 29 or 30th during the day , may be as early as 10 or 11 am till 3,4,5 whatever . ??? Got to come to B C for stuff early morning so may hit this place to see if any body is there after the Xmas holiday . Hope so . Will watch for replys .

  • Primarily in the gay theater. I'm sure he's a nice old guy, but I just can't stand when he's there. He seriously needs to start using a cane or walker. He almost brought down those Christmas lights and lava lamps one day.

    Not trying to be mean. It's a free world I guess. His 7 dollars is just as good as mine I guess.

  • I used to enjoy stopping in here. However, now that the 80 year old troll has discovered this place, I usually just keep on going when I see his car in the parking lot. I swear the guy is here 24/7. He must have a cot in the back and sleeps here.

  • Was there yesterday (Monday) and there were 6 of us in the gay theater. Two old trolls who kept to themselves, two other guys who just watched and two of us who had a mutual J.O. ONe of the watchers was really cute, but this must have been his first time as he bolted when we invited him to join. Afternoons seem to be the best time there. I prefer it to Romantics since the gay films run every day and the atmosphere is more congenial to playing, seating more comfortable and a cleaner place.
