Went there today, was a lot of traffic since weather was nice. A few families were there. One was getting ready to go the lower path in the woods. Hope they did not find anything they were not looking for. Will void nice weekends foer the next few weeks.

There really is no best time to go there. I was there last week when it was 60 degrees and saw maybe one or two people. Spoke to one guy and he was commenting on the same thing... Sometimes it is so hit or miss there.... It was rainy one time I went there and the place was Jumping.... Was snowing another time and same thing... other times, was a nice day nothing, nice day awesome time had... The one thing I have heard, but cannot experience it myself is the daytime fun (before 3pm) seems to be the best overall here.....

To me it is just about having some morals, maybe I'm just not pushy enough. When I see two people that are actually or obviously interested in each other I don't keep following them around. That is very disturbing. Late afternoon, myself and another guy, obviuosly interested in each other as we move around several times except that this one guy kept following everywhere we went. Get a CLUE if we'd have wanted him to play with us we'd have just invited him, the fact that we kept moving away from him should have been enough for him to back away. Some people are rude and just don't get it.

FYI there was a very strong presence from the law this afternoon.... pulled up and saw one cruiser on the hill, on the way out there were two... There also seems to be a LOT more signs around saying when the park closes now.... not sure if that relates to it or not... but in any event put a damper on any fun I might have had. On occasion, I have seen a few teenagers..girls and boys...running around the fort area. They usually seem to be looking for a place to drink, smoke pot, or just spray paint grafitti on the walls. The best time to go to avoid them is weekdays during school hours. Weekends are the worst time to go. Families and fishermen are all over the place then.

Went there 12/6. Some action still going on regardless of the light snow falling.

Probably the most active area is the "cage" section. It's the barred in area in about the center.
It's popular because you don't need a flashlight. I've had action all over the place.
As far as busiest times. It's a crapshoot. You just never know who or how many will be there.
I have found that the more people cruising the area. The less action you get. Too much to choose from I suppose.

I agree this place has lots of potential if only a younger crowd would show up more often. Despite the sign saying it closes at dusk, I have been here as late as 10-11 PM. Ive seen cops drive in and drive out but don't bother anyone. The tunnels are a cool place to explore. Will be heading over there this weekend and next Monday night & during the day Tuesday since I have off.

Don't take it personal Odentonboi. Even tho you were getting off work. Most guys are just going TO work. Maybe the guy yiou said hello to was running late. Or maybe he was just a prude. OK, Second trip today, same time as yesterday. Saw some guys in the tunnel as I was walking the whole fort. You people seem to be looking for Adonis or Mr. Universe. You don't understand that the perfect bodies of the world don't need places like this. Cetainly there are older not so attractive guys that frequent this place. But they are human beings and deserve to be treated as such.
