This is a single bathroom with locking door in the parking lot of the hiking trail directly across from the river. There are lots of secluded places to wander off to as well and get a bit more uninhibited. It is very private with very few straights except for an occasional CDOT worker or fisherman and well off the tourist path. Action with mostly Latinos, construction workers and blue collar types.

Neighbourhood: Basalt

From Aspen take Highway 82 West to the light at Two Rivers Road in Basalt. Take right and the bathroom is in the small parking lot 1/10 mile from red light on the right. From Glenwood Springs-Carbondale pass thru the light and make u-turn and follow the above directions.
  • Hours:Open from daylight to dark. The best times are from 12-3 pm and 6- dark weekdays and weekends. Not recommended in Winter.
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:There are a couple of picnic tables, but most wait in the vehicle in parking lot and and follow into bathroom and if the door is unlocked they are interested. So there is the safety net of a locked door.
  • Nudity / Policy:No open nudity near restroom, but feel safe and comfortable to do so in one of the wooded areas in the immediate area.
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No
  • Warnings:There is no security in the area. Little if any police presence, but always be alert. The Basalt police station is 1 mile down the road. There is a neighborhood directly to the southwest and locals bike and hike the trails, but rarely frequent bathroom area.
