The parking lot is cruisy. Most guys take to the trails which provide cover for activity, including groups. Some nudity and during the summer activity continues into the late night. Some spillover activity at Chestnut Cove Overlook at mile marker 398.

On Blueridge Parkway west of town at mile marker 397.

  • time to find a new place guys theres one place i hooked up with a few times near that area of the parkway not good for day time but perfect for night time from bevard rd (191) take bent creek ranch rd one light up from the parkway entrance toward the mall stay to the left it turns in to wesley branch rd it gos past the back entrance of arboretem in to pisga national forest then on the the right take a short rd rice pinnacle rd i think gos in to a small park no curfews on national parks some trail bike riders after dark in warm weather but after 8 or 9 or so no one there small out door restroom i have played in sevral times lots of woods very dark paved area lots of warning if a car drives in. if you keep going down wesley branch rd there is sevral of thouse in small parks one on the dirt rd portion that same dirt rd actully gos under blue ridge parkway pisga forest rangers are difrent the parkway rangers and there never in the area at night cause they work out of bevard and i know for a fact they only have one ranger that is a police at night the rest are just land managers and don't do policing so if you don't see a blue light nothing to worry about

  • no one there ranger came by in 10 min of me being there and searched me (just looked in car nothing major) then warned me about sextual activity going on there and that they are takeing them to jail was a nice ranger what can they do if your just sitting there anyway. nothing! but enough to scare everyone off i waited 45 min and no one else showed up

  • ru121985, Take I-26 East toward S'burg, SC to exit 33 and follow signs to Blue Ridge PKWY, only about 10-15 minutes from I-40/I-26 jct....Good Luck! Milemarkers 397 or 398 on the parkway.

  • as far as i know there jsut harrasing not heard of any arrest they did it durring bel cher too the rangers where there last night sitting at the bottom never went up to the top that i saw that was enough for anyone traviling to sleepy gay to scare them but they never bothered anyone they don't do this offten just if a holliday or event in town they where some plain clothes ones there they scearched a car then let them go make me wonder if there even cops that did that was a drag queen they did this to just be disgreet and everything will be fine no laws broken they can't do anything and i am sure they are almost done harrassing they don't have enough rangers at night to keep it up
