Asbury Park is run down in this area. The boardwalk is maintained. Don't look for any amusements or rides. Wouldn't even go in the water there.

  • Cruising Info/ Tips:Although nothing bad has ever happened to me there, always be careful. Stand in the shadows while people walk on the boardwalk. Eye contact is always key. Move under the boardwalk for privacy. Cops on the streets, never on the Boardwalk.
    Cruisiest Spots: Between Convention Center and closed-down motel with balcony (other side of the Convention Center and the Howard Johnsons which is still open but not part of the cruising spot).

  • A little different now 2007 money moving in,a lot of new housing ,old stuff being ripped down.not sure but it looks good for gay people

  • As of May2001, There has been undercover cops arresting people for exposing themsleves! Be very careful!

  • There are some HIV + people there who do bareback - particularly some of the older men - be careful
