Nothing too special, but a couple of times I've been there, I had some incredible action with some blue-collar types. One little guy, a mechanic about 5'6 had an amazing 8-inch ...anyway...
An older bookstore, however, the video arcade in the back was renovated in September of 2005 with all new video booths. Quite a few "buddy booths" scattered throughout the arcade, and they now accept paper "coupons" instead of coin tokens. The new video arcade layout is like a maze. This bookstore carried a big selection of DVD's, magazines, and toys too. The staff is friendly and they don't bother anybody unless you're creating problems or get complained on. Not a bad spot at all.
Crowd: Mixed crowd goes to this bookstore, especially in the daytime. At night, a younger crowd usually goes because of nearby Elon University. You will find a good showing of regulars here too. It is close to the Interstate, so there is some new blood in there as well. Lately, quite a few more Latino cruisers have been spotted inside and outside. There is somebody for everybody here, so if you're looking for white collar or redneck, you'll find them here.

Off I-85/I-40, take exit 145 (Maple Avenue) north, and Outlet Video & News will be on the left just beyond Knollwood Street.

- Hours:24 hours, 7 days a week. Usually closed for cleaning around 5am every morning for about an hour, maybe earlier if there are no customers in the store.
Best times: Gets busy around lunchtime, then really busy again from 8pm on. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays can get crowded in the evenings.
Dates open: 24 hours - Cruising Info/ Tips:Try to avoid those who become apparently regulars; nothing personal, but they all appear to be queens.
Like all other bookstores, just cruise around the arcade, which is like a maze now, and watch for the action.
Cruisiest Spots: Rear of the videos area. - br
- Quite a bit of traffic goes to this bookstore, and people cruise through the parking lot at night. Of course, the busy spot is in the video arcade in the back of the store.
- Wheelchair Accessible:Yes / All on one level, and the front and back is spacious enough for someone in a wheelchair to manuever around.
- Warnings:Cruisin' queens.
Of course, the roaming regulars that -block, but that's the norm at most bookstores.
Warnings: Cops parked nearby. Every time I've been there, but no visits to the shop that I can tell.
BEWARE of people trying to talk to you in the parking lot. And I wouldn't park anywhere except the bookstore parking lot. You can park in a lower lot behind the booktore and walk up a hill, but I've heard some people had their cars broken into, so I would stay close to the bookstore. Just use your best judgement here.
